Carragher sees City as only fighting for top four.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes Manchester City are now fighting for a top-four finish. After their 2-0 defeat at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s side are in crisis after failing to win a game in seven games in all competitions. And have now dropped to fifth in the league table, 11 points behind the Reds. Carragher points out that both Arsenal and Chelsea have risen. And City will struggle to finish above either of them.UFABET

“I think it’s almost a mini crisis for Man City.” Carragher told Sky Sports. “I think it’s reminiscent of Liverpool two years ago. And I actually think Man City are fighting hard for the top four.”

“I go back two years ago to Manchester City when they won the treble. Liverpool went to the Etihad Stadium in April and lost 1-4, probably by six or seven goals. You felt like that was the end of Jurgen Klopp’s team. But it was really the end of the midfield with Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.

“No matter how good a manager you are, you can’t fix it. I don’t think Pep can fix it in terms of midfield. You have to have the right players in that position.”

“I think Manchester City will lose another four or five games until the end of the season. And I look at the power of Arsenal, the power of Chelsea’s young players. And I think it will be difficult for Manchester City to finish above them.”
